You see, today is my mom's birthday and for a lengthy reason that I won't get into right now, I made her cinnamon swirl buns instead of a cake. It's been just cold enough out lately that nobody was complaining about the smell of baked cinnamon and butter wafting around the house! It wasn't a full batch of buns so they were gone about as fast as you could reach out for them. After I left I got a text message from my sister saying that she and my brother-in-law Jason have decided that I should just bake for people who don't want to bake. It would be a quick way to earn a little extra cash, and I really like doing it.
Because here's the thing.....I love to bake! I love the challenge of a new recipe. I love testing them out on people to see if it turned out. I love how when it gets cold out I get warmed up by an oven-y pillow of warm scented air (trust me, that's a thing. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you should hire me to bake for you cause we both know you aren't doing it yourself!).
With all of that being said...Here goes my attempt at this baking blog. I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination! I'll post some pictures of some of the things I've made in the past, and now that I know I'm going to be posting things to a blog, I'll try to make the picture quality a bit better. This isn't necessarily going to be a blog where I post recipes and stuff like that. I'm not a professional or anything. I just have decent baking skills and would love to do it for anyone that doesn't have the time, energy, or will to do it themselves! If I do something cool in the future, I'll snap some pics and post them too!
This is going to be a real trial and error thing so lets see what happens! If you want something, let me know and we'll work out the details!
